  • "During pregnancy when thinking about giving birth for the first time I had one thing very clear; I do not want to go to the hospital to give birth. My wish was to give birth in an environment where I felt comfortable and safe; at home. No bright light, not one staff member after another coming in, no unnecessary speeding up any fase. And I also did not want to feel like a number. Being pregnant felt sacred to me and to give birth even more. So I went looking online what the options were for home birth. I stumbled upon Laura’s website and made an appointment. We had a nice and long conversation where she had answers to all the questions I had. I could tell she had a huge amount of experience and knowledge, more than the average gynecologist I’m sure. She explained a lot about how her guidance/assistance would look like during my pregnancy and birth and took away any insecurity or fear I had regarding giving birth. We’ve met 5 times before giving birth and 5 times afterwards. Laura and her just as wise, experienced and loving colleague Selma have guided me through everything with so much love and kindness. They made me feel my pregnancy was as important for them as it was for me. My partner was also very happy with Laura and Selma by our sides from pregnancy to birth. For the first time during my pregnancy he felt heard and understood which is something the gynecologists in the hospital and the matronas in the health centre did not do for him (I had to go to the hospital because of a complication in the beginning of my pregnancy). Thanks to Laura and Selma he felt just as part of the whole process as me whereas in the hospital they’d only focus on me. When I was in labour Laura en Selma assisted me like I was their own flesh and blood. With so much care, so much love. I feel very fortunate to have been able to give birth with these two angels by my side. It was thanks to them I was able to give birth trusting my body without any distractions nor fear. These two women know exactly what they are doing and I am forever grateful for them. Dear Laura and Selma, thank you so much for all your work. For all you do for me and so many other women, their partners and their children. The two of you are true angels and I cherish my birth experience deeply thanks to you both.   • "Bárbara, a través de la reflexología, su cariño y todos sus saberes, acompañó mi proceso de tratamiento con quimioterapia por un Linfoma de Hodgkin. Con una visión integral estuvo pendiente de todos los aspectos, tanto físicos como emocionales para cuidar mi salud. La reflexología, una sesión de más de una hora cada semana, paliaba o eliminaba diversos síntomas que aparecían con la quimio, como ser la sensibilidad en los dedos de las manos (el médico me había dicho que era el único efecto secundario que era irreversible... en una sola sesión de reflexo desapareció y nunca más lo he vuelto a tener), dolor de panza y estreñimiento, quemazón en la piel; todo mejoraba mucho o desaparecía luego de cada visita a Bárbara. También me ayudaba a eliminar las toxinas de las drogas. Por otra parte, en su mirada integral, me brindaba soporte emocional en los diversos desafíos del tratamiento como el corte de pelo o los miedos que aparecían. Me aconsejó en la sustitución de quimicos de limpieza en la casa y de higuiene personal, por elementos naturales y más sanos. También recomendaciones de alimentación y de hábitos saludables. Brindo amor a mi y a mi familia en un momento super delicado. Bárbara es una persona coherente con su profesión. Lo que ella promulga primero pasa por ella, se siente y transmite el trabajo interno que tiene realizado antes de cada sesión y esa templanza la traspasa con sus manos a tu cuerpo. Se siente que está muy formada e informada. De esta experiencia me queda: Amor absoluto por la técnica de reflexología que ella ofrece (que no es la misma que anda dando vueltas por todas partes) y Agradecimiento infinito a Bárbara."
