Fish and chips excellent, big portions Service needs a little refining, but I’m sure it will come. All staff very friendly and helpful. Great competition for that other chippy
One of the best fish and chips we've had here in Spain. And we've been here 6 years now. Very tasty and lovely portion with peas, 2 x b&b for 8.50 each. Great service and a very clean and modern chippy with great facilities. And a bar next door too
Been looking forward to visit now that the opening times have settled. I got the fish special which was either cod or haddock, chips, mushy or garden peas and a slice of bread and butter. My partner only had chips because she doesnt eat meat. On Thursdays they do vegetarian night with vegetable oil in a seperate frier. Otherwise everything is fried in beef dripping. The fish special costs €8.50 and the portion of chips costs €3. We really hope they bring in Scottish chip shop black pudding and pizza crunch. OUR VERDICT The chips were really nice and the fish was good, decent size and the batter was lovely and crispy. It came with a lovely thick creamy tartare sauce and a wedge of lemon. The bread was UK bread thankfully, but I will mention that the crusts were a little stale, perhaps the bag wasnt closed properly. It wasnt awful, just easily improved. While Im whinging, I do think €2 for a 25cl beer is too high. €1.50 is the normal price in Spain. Even a 33cl bottle is often €1.50 in Spanish bars. That price would put us off staying and enjoying the lovely sun trap terrace with a few more drinks. The chip shop has been completely built from scratch. Huge new range and they have built a lovely modern bar inside too. We dont know the name of the lady who served us, she sounded Dutch, well she was the star of the show. She served us quickly and was warm and friendly. She really seemed to care, and she had that rare quality which really matters to us, she made us feel like we were valued customers. We were promised black pudding in October, so we look forward to keeping an eye on facebook to see when they have arrived. There were many customers inside, so we didnt want to take photos without permission inside. Highly recommended that you pay a visit. The 4 stars for food is because we want black pudding and pizza crunch!
Couldn't fault this chippy. Friendly, attentive staff, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. We had the cod and haddock menu deals and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Batter was crispy, not soggy, fish succulent and it was served with with proper chunky tartare sauce, not that awful sachet stuff. Run by the same owner as Silverstone's bar and restaurant it's great to see that he has breathed a new lease of life into Montebello.

Omg proper fish and chips. Really enjoyed it. No more Quesada fish and chips will be coming here from now on. Can't wait for the new arrivals haven't had a pudding supper for years. Good luck I'm sure this business will take off.

Well... Yes another Chippy to visit.. And boy what can we say. It was nice Clean and fresh, Value for money, The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious and hot. A new young business venture and we wish you all a big success for the future. The menu is getting added too and will be a full menu in a short amount of time. The place was spotless and bright, with clean WC facilities. Access is easy and on street parking is right next to it. I do expect it to get busy at times so factor that when you visit. It's got a access ramp for disabled people, but tbh is a little steep so be careful. Plenty of tabled seating area inside and also has an outdoor terrace dining area for the summer .. We had on this visit the Meal deal for two, including two drinks was less than a maccy d visit and for just into 20€. We will be back soon to try another option. The Food was plenty and you even get the option to add a little extra for the few hungry Horace's among us ! There is a full bar also beside this establishment and a hairdresser the next so it's a family day out lol. Easy to find on Google maps so make a trip to explore and sample. You can find them on Facebook and WhatsApp also as take away is an option too. So the Summery is. This place will grow fast as the foods clean tasting and fresh, hot and plenty and proper chippy chips ! The staff and its atmosphere was very good. Value for money, Yes for sure.
