- "We went on a half-hour Jet Ski excursion last week. It was just us on the trip; nobody else. They have great Jet Skis; however, the staff was very rude, both the man who handled the booking and the one who was supposed to be guiding us. We came as a group of four, with my girlfriend as the only girl. Nobody had previous experience with Jet Skis except for me, but the guide did not explain how to drive them. I had to help my girlfriend maneuver out of the harbor. Once we got out on the open water, the guide took off, leaving my girlfriend—who was the slowest—about 2 km behind. After I went back to help her, the "guide" started arguing with me for leaving the line. He mumbled something about safety in broken English, but the main safety issue was leaving the slowest rider behind in 1.5-meter waves, making it hard to even spot her in the distance. I would not recommend this experience for beginners or for anyone trying to have fun. Their enthusiasm lasts only until you pay them; after that, they just want to get through that half hour and be done with it. Zero safety, zero fun, zero competence, and zero hospitality."
