- "Seemed nice and clean first of all but went down hill. Day before i contacted him asking if we were able to change the time as it would rain but he was not flexible. I arrived 10 minutes before 10 and got on after 20 minutes (was meant to start at 10). He first told me off for not standing on the right side and not knowing the stirrup length which i apologized for. We went out and a couple called him asking for a ride which they did at 2 and i was confused as to why i couldnt have rescheduled it as i asked the day before but they had only just booked it. We continued on and he told me off for not being able to stop the horse from eating 1 leaf. I was walking with the horse and he ate a leaf i quickly responded and stopped any more but apologized to him. Bear in mind i was on a rather large horse around 16hh and i am 14 so do try but cannot be perfect. We started cantering and it started raining very heavily. My reins became very slippy and my horse started throwing his head down and speeding off. Jesús was telling me to stop which i was trying very VERY hard to do but the horse was very strong and i had little control as the reins were slippery. And rather than giving me tips he was shouting at me. It was rainig torrentially so we cut the path short as it was very slippery everywhere but Jesús kept telling me to speed up and the horse kept spooking when i did tell him to. I had booked a 2 hour private walk for €100 and only did 1hr and 20minutes in torrential rain. This could have all been avoided if he allowed me to reschedule or refunded some of the money as i did not recieve the full timings. He was nice at times but very strict and I have been on several hacks in the past and have not experienced anything like this. Would have been betted if a. we were allowed to reschedule and b. would have been a bit more understanding as yes I do know how to control a horse but have much less control when it is pouring rain and i am drenched as well as cannot grip the reins properly."

I went to other schools to try and enroll but was almost immediately turned away by neglectful headteachers, that was not the case here. The headteacher here is extremely hands on and approachable. Phoenix being a small school is also much better compared to my previous public schools. Teachers actually have more time to focus on each students individual needs, you can truly tell that they are here to help students acheive their goals. They have flexible options in terms of classes too as teachers are capable of teaching multiple subjects. They were able to open up physics for me to study after I asked even though it wasnt an initial option. I showed my interest and they made it happen! :)"
